10- digit dailing coming to the Okanagan.  Starting June 23, 2008 anyone with the 250 code will have to enter it into your dialling code when making a local call. This is something new for Osoyoos and Oliver.  We have had it pretty easy till now. Dialling 10 digits will become mandatory as of Sept 12, 2008.

Fasten your seatbelts, be carefully for those seat belt tickets.

April 23 Most unusal weather happening these days. Woke up to snow, rain and tonight its warm and raining. The blossoms are really showing.  We did a market evaluation on a waterfront property today on the other side of Oliver. Beautiful home - watch for the listing in the near future. Really the Okanagan is charming, small and quaint. Humming birds have arrived and all you bird lovers please put out your feeders - those little guys are mighty hungry. New Wine Bar opening up near our office on Main Street. Watch for details. Interest rates down great time to buy a house.

April 27, 2008   Visited the New Willow Beach project on Sunday Open house had lots of visitors.  The project is waiting for other readings to get the go ahead.   Other projects steaming right along,  Indigo started, Watermark is rolling right along, the Mariposa development for long term and assisted living seems to be on schedule for July occupancy. Busy little town this place called Osoyoos (where two lakes meet). Awaiting a news announcement for Mount Baldy.!!! Watch for Regal Ridge on the Global network. Bank of Canada Slashes Key Interest Rate  

   

The Bank of Canada slashed its key interest rate by half a percentage point today, as it warned of softer economic growth this year.  

It's the second half-point cut in the last two months and brings the Bank of Canada's total rate reduction to 1½ percentage points since December 2007. Bank of Canada Governor Mark Carney has slashed rates by a full percentage point since he took over the top job in February.
