The CASI Osoyoos Pilot Project is an initiative of the United Way , as a result of meetings, a volunteer working group of Osoyoos residents who were interested the Project came forward to research and structure a program for the implementation of support services.  The project will provide companionship transportation services to seniors living in Osoyoos, developing a referral service and resource directory  for housekeeping, home-maintenance services , for an on fee-for service basis as well as a referral service of local youth willing to do yard work and snow removal.

Casi hopes to become a sustainable and an on going presence in Osoyoos with the paraticipation and the financial support of donors, businesses and agencies, fund-raising efforts and a nominal donation for each ride. Casi anticipates beginning operation in November.
